KCNA Commentary Warns U.S. and S. Korean Regime of Grave Consequences of Opening UN Office in Seoul

Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet group is noisily advertising that the UN "office for human rights performance in the north" will formally open in June.
The office is an illegal one fabricated by the puppet group in a bid to intentionally do harm to a sovereign state in wanton violation of the UN Charter and international law, pursuant to the U.S. scenario.
This is absolutely intolerable as it is a thrice-cursed politically- motivated provocation of the U.S. and the puppet group keen to defame the dignity and social system of the DPRK and realize their wild ambition for stifling it at any cost.
Looking back on history, the U.S. has pulled up the countries incurring its displeasure over their human rights performance by setting in motion plot-breeding bodies going under the mask of the UN and perpetrated armed intervention and ignited wars of aggression against them under the pretext of "protecting human rights."
The purpose sought by the U.S. and the puppet group in establishing the office is to turn south Korea into a center for hatching plots over "human rights" and internationalize the anti-DPRK "human rights" racket.
The south Korean puppet conservative group has run the whole gamut of moves to build up world public opinion on "human rights in the north" and seek international cooperation in its anti-DPRK campaign as a shock force in its "human rights" campaign.
The present chief executive of south Korea, since she took office, has never forgotten to mention the "issue of human rights performance in the north" during her trips to foreign countries and at 10 odd international conferences but has taken the lead in soliciting international cooperation in the anti-DPRK "human rights" racket, talking about "generally accepted value" and "concern of international community."
When the establishment of the UN "office on human rights performance in the north" was proposed by the UN Human Rights Council last year, the puppet group frequently visited the UN high commissioner for Human Rights, asserting south Korea is fit for gathering "information" and "evidence" concerning the "issue of human rights performance in the north" as there are a lot of "defectors from the north" there.
The group went the lengths of galvanizing 17 anti-DPRK bodies including the south Korean "Citizens Alliance for Human Rights in North Korea" and conservative media into releasing a statement asserting that the UN office should not be set up in other countries except south Korea.
Not only the conservative forces including those of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Unification and the "Saenuri Party" but the chief executive vociferated in the international arena about the need for south Korea to host the UN office.
The projected inauguration of the office is lashing the service personnel and people of the DPRK into great fury as it is a serious hostile act of hurting the dignity and social system of the DPRK.
The army of Mt. Paektu will never overlook the opening of the office in Seoul.
The U.S. and the puppet group will have to pay dearly for the operation of the office. -0-
