Kim Jong Un Plants Trees with KPA Pilots- a true people's leader who cares about the environment

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army
Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, Monday visited Unit 447 of the KPA Air and Anti-Air Force honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment and planted trees with fighter pilots of the unit.     He was greeted on the spot by commanding officers of the unit.
The Supreme Commander had a talk with fighter pilots.
He said that today is a significant tree-planting day when President Kim Il Sung raised the torch of tree-planting movement, adding that he came to plant trees with fighter pilots of the unit, which produced the heroic, self-sacrificing and self-blasting spirit of the brave red hawks of Songun Korea.
To conduct a vigorous forest restoration campaign is an important political undertaking for implementing the behests of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who had worked heart and soul all their life to turn the country into a thick woodland and greenery, and it is the most patriotic work for the country's development and prosperity of all generations to come, he said, urging the KPA to take the lead in the work to create and conserve forests.
The unit, which is associated with great leadership feats of the Generalissimos and has fully displayed the suicidal-attack spirit in carrying out the combat orders given by the Party, should become a model of the whole army in afforestation, too, he said.
Then Kim Jong Un, together with fighter pilots, planted ginkgo and other species of trees he personally provided after choosing places fit for them.
While planting the trees with a shovel in his hands, he taught in detail such matters arising in planting trees to meet the scientific and technological requirement.
On the same day, he went round a monument to the merits of 14 stalwart fighters, who displayed the suicidal-attack spirit, at the unit. This monument was built, under the deep care of the Supreme Commander, to convey the heroic feats performed by the 14 fighter pilots in the operation to ensure the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2.
The monument was built well in such a way as to show a symbolic meaning, he said, adding that the suicidal-attack spirit of the fighter pilots who defied death to carry out the order of the Party serves as a guide of the ideological work in the People's Army.
The unit displayed its matchless valor in the battles with the U.S. imperialist aggressors not only in the last Fatherland Liberation War but also in the postwar period and created a-match-for-a-hundred heroic spirit, self-sacrificing and self-blasting spirit, that can never be found in army of any other country, he said, adding: It is high pride of our Party and country to have this unit.
The Supreme Commander showed his deepest trust in the unit, which produced 14 stalwart fighters with suicidal-attack spirit, including DPRK Hero Jong Chol Ju, saying he hopes that it would become the first guards unit of the air force in the 21st century and thus another stanza of "Song of Pride of Guards Unit" would be created to tell about its combat merits.
He had a photo session with the fighter pilots of the unit in front of the monument.
Accompanying him were Hwang Pyong So, O Il Jong, Han Kwang Sang, Ri Pyong Chol and Son Chol Ju. -0-
