A note about mischevious misinformation

Various false reports have been circulated concerning the so-called removal of "Marx and Lenin " statues in the DPRK . In fact there never have been statues of Marx and Lenin in the DPRK at any point in time. The only statues of non Korean leaders are one of  Premier Zhou En Lai of the PRC who was a great friend of the DPRK and comrade of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung and also of Mao Anying the son of Mao Zedong who was an internationalist martyr .
Pictures of Marx and Lenin were displayed at Kim Il Sung square for a long time but have been taken down buildings in the square are undergoing extensive face-lifting. A picture of Stalin is displayed in the International Friendship Exhibition.

The DPRK stresses that the achievements of the revolutionary forerunners must be respected completely .
