CPRK Secretariat Accuses S. Korean Regime of Bringing Inter-Korean Relations to Worst Phase (1)

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued an indictment on Thursday accusing the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea of bringing the inter-Korean relations to a collapse through its grave politically-motivated military provocations against the DPRK and driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the worst phase since its seizure of power.
According to the indictment, the Lee group perpetrated its first provocation against the nation by denying the June 15 joint declaration.
It said:
Claiming that "there would be no reunification, pursuant to the June 15 joint declaration," the group slandered the north-south joint declaration as a "pro-communist, enemy-benefiting document." It declared "the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration adopted by the preceding regimes with the north are invalid and there is no obligation to implement them". It totally denied the October 4 declaration, terming its first provision a call for "setting June 15 as a national day and accepting the federal formula of the north", its second provision a call for repealing the "Security Law", its third provision a call for "nullifying the 'northern limit line'" and the provision for economic cooperation a call for "draining on resources".
While addressing "a meeting commemorating the March first popular uprising" in 2008 and a ceremony of appointing generals of the puppet army in April of the same year traitor Lee termed the noble idea of "by our nation itself" "narrow-minded nationalism" and "chauvinist nationalism" and talked nonsense that "with the idea it is impossible to settle the inter-Korean relations".
In March of that year the traitor got undisguised in denying the declaration by saying "there would be neither dialogue nor cooperation unless the north dismantles nukes and open itself." At the instruction of Lee the puppet minister of Unification asserted that "it is hard to improve south-north relations unless the nuclear issue of the north is settled", officially announcing its confrontation policy and totally blocking the implementation of the declaration and inter-Korean dialogue.
In July of that year the group unilaterally suspended the tour of Mt. Kumgang under the pretext of a tourist case in Mt. Kumgang resort. It said "it could not recognize the agreement made with non-governmental businessman," though the DPRK gave assurances for the best safety of south Korean tourists and solved with magnanimity all problems arising in the inter-Korean relations during the visit to Pyongyang by the chairwoman of Hyundai Group in August 2009.
The DPRK made positive efforts for improving the inter-Korean relations by sending its special envoy to Seoul to mourn the death of former south Korean President Kim Dae Jung and a series of important agreements were made later. But the puppet group overturned them in a brigandish manner by putting up unreasonable preconditions.
In March 2010 the group fabricated the "Cheonan" warship sinking case, taking the "May 24 measures" to completely sever the inter-Korean relations.
The group caused the Yonphyong Island shelling incident two days before the start of the inter-Korean Red-Cross Talks expected to take place in Munsan area of the south side in the wake of the reunion of separated families and their relatives held at Mt. Kumgang resort on the occasion of the Harvest Moon Day in 2010 at the initiative of the DPRK. This incident derailed the talks.
Early in 2011 when the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK released a joint statement proposing the authorities, political parties and organizations of south Korea to have wide-ranging dialogue and negotiations to candidly discuss and settle the important issues of the Korean nation, the group groundlessly described it as a "camouflaged peace offensive" and "tactics of the united front".
The group abducted in broad daylight scores of DPRK residents who were adrift in the West Sea of Korea in February last year, keeping them in custody nearly two months. It refuses to send back some of them, still conducting a dastardly submission operation against them.
This is quite contrary to the compatriotic and humanitarian steps taken by the DPRK to send back without condition south side's fishing boats "Yonan" and "Taesung" together with all their crewmen to south Korea after they were captured while illegally intruding into the territorial waters of the DPRK in 2009 and 2010.
All facts go to prove that the Lee group of traitors is clan of thrice-cursed criminals who scrapped the June 15 joint declaration, bringing the inter-Korean relations to a collapse. -0-
